So this is such a miracle to find myself able to settle down and updating futerless webzine, hence writing is still a passion to me though I dont know when will I stop for doing this useless passion lol. I know its been to godamn late for writing a review for this so called fifth wave emo outfit called Oso Oso. So wondering why I recall this moniker as Oso Oso as well, probably it causes by an IG account named 'fifthwaveemo' always mentioning Oso Oso. But as a matter of fact, Oso Oso does tour with so much fifth wave emo outfits like Mom Jeans, Prince Daddy And The Hyenas, or Just Friends.
My personal story toward this band is that Alfan Rahadi as the first person who introduces me first to the band. Yes we all know that The Yunahon Mixtape is one of a killer record that everyone on the music scene shall take a notice to. That was the first time I got hooked toward Oso Oso's chill vibe and contagious melody. Well in my oppinion, it wouldnt be a difficult task for Jade Lilitri to define how Oso Oso should sound like on the next full length. Oso Oso has found a great composition for its magical sound, so I find its no longer a suprise that Oso Oso has a very well executed sound touch for Basking In The Glow.
Well in case you just discovered about this band, Oso Oso is a moniker project of Jade Lilitri who used to play guitar on an Long Island indie/emo band called State Lines and he's known for helping The Hotelier on guitar as well. Oso Oso has been put out three full length so far and I previously thought that Basking In The Glow would be put out by Counter Intuitive cause they put out a reissue of the first full length 'Real Stories of True People Who Kind of Look Like Monsters' as a matter of fact that my ridiculous hypothesis awesomely got wrong and Basking In The Glow is put out by Triple Crown Records as the label has been known for putting out notable gewd bands like Into It Over It, Free Throw, Foxing, Future Teens, etc. So I can say that Basking In The Glow is a perfection sounds that Oso Oso could ever crafted, I mean that this record is set on a much better songwriting quality as I could compare to The Yunahon Mixtape. So if I'm being the person that insist anyone to to hear out Oso Oso, I would rather recomend Basking In The Glow as the first tunes they should hear of.
This record is available on vinyl and CD press via Triple Crown Records as well as the digital one its available on many digital hosts like Spotify, Bandcamp, iTunes, etc. Its 2020 and I know its 2019's record, this webzine is always godamn late I know lol.
