An Interview With Football, Etc

It is surreal to know that someday me having a chance for interviewing Football, Etc. My first introduction on the band was 12 years as I found a blog which writing the band's split with Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) and I was bumped by the songwriting. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan for 90's emocore music and at some points I found that its 'signature' sounds doesnt fit too much on me buuuttt Football, Etc is a personal exception. Lindsay's voice and its melodious vibes is the thing that would make you fall for the band. And yes I think I'm being lucky enough for having a chance to interview the band for this crappy webzine. So without any useless words, there ya go fellas!

Well you know I gotta say that this review is the first one for Mom Jeans. To be honest, my first impression for Mom Jeans is not as 'huge' as everyone is cause I thought that the first full length were like a mediocre twinkle tunes and you know I still kinda hooked up with some twinkle acts like Algernon Cadwallader or Snowing as by comparing with those two I dont know their previous tune just mediocre as I still listen to it today. And you know I wont put up any bad stuff to review and criticize it. Its just not my kinda thing for this webzine and I know its weird somehow but lets just keep it that way lol.

Previously we all know that Pure Noise is a label that signs so many major acts on pop punk/orgcore scene, like Story So Far, State Champs, Boston Manor, etc. What gets my eyebrow moving is when the label started to put out a record by Masked Intruder, its like "Hey! This is a surprise to know that the label pays interest for Masked Intruder kinda music". I would think that a label might have a progression interest that they would sign more bands from the fifth wave acts like Prince Daddy and The Hyenas, and a band that I will write on this article, Just Friends.

Honey Joy has been ur favorite humas since they put out their first EP ever entitled 'Fixed Grins' and yes we found them on a bandcamp searching scene. Well I think any music fan or geek should give a special place or space for bandcamp for being main cannal of many good musicians, as well this place is being a somekind of 'bridge' for many bands to connect their music toward many faces on this earth! I hope you, the reader of this review, are being agree with me hehe...

Whoa! Its been pretty long time for me not writing this kinda section and yes this we have a so called inspiring band for the scene, Pup. Yes I would state that my first recognition for the band is via a music blog called sophiesfloorboard, and yes the blog is still active to date, as the band put out their first self titled full length on sideonedummy. Well you know actually I wasnt paying attention at that time toward the band, as you know at that time I was totally into so much Run For Cover stuffs lol.
Later on I just discovered that the band's name comes from an acronym 'Pathetic Use of Potential'.
