Album Review : Wolf Girl - Every Now And Then

Musician : Wolf Girl
Album : Every Now & Then
Date Release : October 19th 2018
Publisher : Everything Sucks Music

Its probably really good to see the band that you know continue growing from the scratch, Wolf Girl is introduced by a friend of mine via his fanzine. It was 'Mama's Boy' EP, yes its the first hook that I get myself into the band. But unforntunately, on the first full length debut, We Tried, that being put out by Odd Box, its pretty much doesnt fill up my expectation. But great thing is 'Every Now And Then' has turned out the different way than the first one. Its way much better than their debut 'We Tried'.
I believe that there are not much expectation for this full length that they feel no pressure so they have much good times for writing good songs for this one. Well I hope you dont pay too much about my words being written above, its just a hypothesis lol. As the stories being written, I know that several members has gone into several different music projects such like Suggested Friends or The Whooperups which probably has caused a good impact music writing for the band.
You can hear so much gems on this full length, tracks like Dream Partner, Moody, or Bad Weather are my favourites personally but I guess that would anthemic stuffs for everyone as well. Suprisingly Wolf Girl has no longer with Odd Box this time, Everything Sucks has a great turn for putting out the full length. This would be a golden year as well for the label, as we know they have produced so much good stuffs from favourable bands like Just Blankets, Honey Joy, The Whooperups, Okinawa Pictures Slide, Charmpit, Bear Trade, etc.
Year 2018 I can say is good times for UK scene by producing much critically great records from Happy Accidents, Colour Me Wednesday, Just Blankets, and Wolf Girl with the full length this time. And also to be noted as well that Happy Accidents just highlighted The Fest this year and hopefully moar UK-sounded band will fill up the new spaces for The Fest next year. This records is available on every digital music store/music platform like Spotify, iTunes, Bandcamp, etc and if you're still believe that physical records is a real shit to support the band Everything Sucks also put out their records on vinyl. This one is a great stuff you should check out to!
