Well finally after having such a tight weekdays and for a punk like there's no such a thing so called weekend I'm sorry, I finally get myself being chilled to sit down updating this rotten webzine. And this time I'm going to write a new record by the legendary Mikey Erg! Yes to Prabu and some other folks probably Mikey Erg is more than just a musician they adore I believe. He's like a living legend of a PPMB-Insub Fest glorious pop punk age and I guess its great to remember how good that time is.
Actually this takes a bit time for Mikey itself to release this one but I'm like taking no serious patience to wait for Mikey unleashing new stuffs cause as everybody knows that Mike Yannich is a man with thousand of active/inactive bands so I guess taking a serious patience to wait for Mikey Erg's new album is ridiculous.
Anyway so we're now on our way to talk about the new album #AhOkay, 'Waxbuilt Castle' is definitely a much different stuff you will hear if you heard 'Tentative Decisions' before! In the mean while you heard 'Tentative Decisions' is fulfilled by well punching pop punky tunes of the magical Mikey Erg's songwriting and this records is definitely an album for you if you're such a person that able to accept the fact that Ergs is disbanded already, things are going differently on 'Waxbuilt Castle' cause this is such a melancholy tunes and Mikey Erg has written such a sad album indeed! Well the mood built has an exact effect if you're listening to another sad punk albums like Jets To Brazil's 'Perfecting Lonliness'. Waxbuilt Castle is much being fulfilled by contamplate tunes and yes thats why I recall this such a sad album.
Well dont get me wrong, I dont recall this such a bad tunes that you shouldnt listen to. As a matter of fact that this record is one of my AOTY I assume but I warn you once again if you're expecting the same Ergs nostalic tunes. Yes I dont know about how's Mikey's mood as he wrote songs for this one but all I know that current mood has affected ones musician to write any songs. I love this album period! 'Waxbuilt Castle' is available anywhere else digitally (Bandcamp, Spotify, etc), physically (Its available on Vinyl and CD's) via Don Giovanni Records, and available for every broken hearted...
