Well finally having a chance to lay my butt on the floor where I used to update the blog and thankgod the airconditioner is has now working well, yes its been a deadly summer here in Tangerang. Beneath this deadly summer, gratefully The Great Menzingers finally put out a new full length! Yes we all know that 'After The Party' has been a great tip of the iceberg for the band. And yes it is Epitaph who escort them to the finish line. Well, we all cant dodge the fact that Epitaph has been a 'good escort' for many punk bands they signed to reach the tip of the iceberg.
'Halo Exile' is totally a worth to wait one I might say as 'After The Party' was released on 2017. Actually its not a too long await, but I dont know I actually should hear some moar stuffs after their recent outputs on 'After The Party' and actually I'm not into their full length previously from 'After The Party', entitled 'Rented World'. Much of friends praising the records, but not for me lol. I dont know it sounds that flat comparing to their previous works like 'Chamberlain Waits" or 'Hold On, Dodge'. And you know when first listening to 'After The Party' its like 'Boo-ah! This record fuckin nailed so much than the previous one!'.
'Halo Exile' is actually has absorbed a great energy, as great as 'After The Party' I would say. What's great from The Menzingers is that they always put out a good lyrics with a great melodies. Let say I can put two of my favourites that stuck in my head its melodies instantly, those are 'America (You're Freaking Me Out)' and 'Hello Exile'. Yes finally this record has found its match for maintaining its level than the previous one. As we might know some songs like 'Lookers' or 'Midwestern State' have been a great anthem for their previous record, 'After The Party'. There are 12 tracks featured on this record which length up to 40 minutes more or less in total. Thats a worth wait for 2 godamn years haha!
I dont know but we all know good band that put out a good record will have a lengthy time to put out a new record and this will happen to Menzingers. Idk just having big feeling about that lol! And yes lets celebrate that Epitaph has been an escort for a good band to stay on the tip of the iceberg. Well hopefully they will come to Singapore at the least please!!!! This full length is produced on vinyl and available through many digital platforms like bandcamp, spotify, deezer, iTunes, etc. Just wondering The CD's are not produced yet, probably this is the proof that the most real money making for the digital music form is no more CD but on the streaming services. I dont know just speculating actually haha...
