Aaahhh yea... Finally on this such a lame ass moment for letting myself to listen to a new stuff, I finally able to write some crappy words for this webzine again. Again I would like to say that corporate lyfe will take you into a 5 minutes closer to death lol... OK move out from the complaint, now we have a Bristol based indie/folk band named Toodles & The Hectic Pity.
To be honest, I just got to know this band as Erica of Specialist Subject sent me a press release of band's single entitled 'Ducks' which the single to be featured on their latest EP entitled 'Ghosts, Guilt, & Grandparents'. At the first time I took a listen to the single entitled 'Ducks', that was the time I got hooked with the energy of this band laid on. They have a good melodies and good energies to be shared if you listen to the song.
As the posts you can see on their bandcamp site, the band has actually put out three EP's on their lifetime all along. And Specialist Subject just put out the third one which as I can say that this EP is a perfection to be laid from their whole works been done so far. Let say the second EP, 'Call In Sick', would be a well-done-work, in the meanwhile 'Ghosts, Guilts, & Grandparents' is a much better you should check on. Musically I can describe that Toodles And The Hectic Pity brings the catchy vibe of Onsind blend up with some energies what AJJ or Montain Goats has offered. So good that finally I can write another folk punk review after Ape of The State lol! I mean I think to fill up myself with much more folk punk stuffs ahead lol.
The EP is produced on violett 12" vinyl by Specialist Subject and being bundled with shirts and enamel pins which is left on a very limited stocks right now as I can see on their site. Also their latest EP is available on many digital outlets like bandcamp, spotify, iTunes, etc.
