Album Review : Dirty Ass - Seliar Binatang

Musician : Dirty Ass

Date Release : September 17th 2018

Well it is fun for doing a review for ur favourite band filled up with  the most favourite humans we ever known. Yes I say I love Dirty Ass, they impressed me for the first time when they play at Elang Terbang first gig ever in conjunction with Xing Foo & Roy Asian Tour. They were like having a wild wild set with some wild words as well (Yea you know they love to swear on the whole fucking set!).
The first full length let say actually dont impress me much cuz I think they still look up for a fitting sound about the band itself. Well I think their work has made an absolute impact on this one. Being in a band and writing music is actually a complicated yet exciting process cause this actually need an extra effort for digging references and creativity to reloading a good output.
Let say on a comparison, the first album would be like a 'motorhead' references and I heard some weird reggae tunes on it. But for this full length, I think the guys seems like doesnt put any burden on writing process and making music. And I hear some honesty for this one. The full length sounds more straight forward and of course you can feel a great amount of energy for this one comparing to the previous one. And of course what I really like is the vocal style of Gary which drives the band finding its definitive sound. You can hear some garrage tunes mixed up with hardcore punk fueled on it. Let say if you love bands like Youth Avoiders, or any Dirtnap or Dirtcult catalogues, I think Dirty Ass would fill up your sattisfaction.
The album is released by Roaches Records, their own self funding label, on CD-R and they dont trust any corporates like Spotify so they just put out the shit on bandcamp I'm sorry :( I'm having a good thought about the band actually about their future. So yes I'm absolutely expecting them to be 'more' than this time.
