Kisaran Pendengeran Rizkan 2018

Okay! As usual we're gonna do some kind of yearly recap. I think this is going on the fourth year. Well I think that is pretty awesome since no one else gonna care about this shit though lol. I can say 2018 is such a wonderful years, we got so much bands producing good stuffs and then we have Pohgoh reunion and thats all the matters REALLY! And as well it feels weird as well cuz in the meanwhile everyone seems talk about Mom Jeans and other Counter Intuitive stuffs then I dont feel the hype. So yes so sorry for that fellas...

Warm Thoughts - I Went Swimming Alone, Asian Man Records
First line coming from the lovely Warm Thoughts. Promise me this band is really underated and I just dont give a shit whether this band doesnt play at The Fest buuuttt Warm Thoughts produced hell of great records after on decades being rotten cuz we all know that Balbin is totally busy with Touche. Nice work Balbin! Hoping you know that you got a heart from a guy living on a far far away land.

Pohgoh - Secret Club, New Granada Records/Waterslide Records/Barely Legal Records
Pohgoh reunion is totally a thing! They are totally legend and one of an unexpected thing that this band finally put out a new stuff after years and years being drown in a grave. Pohgoh is real dramatic and we all know what Susie been through then finally music has come as one of a healing process. So yes, this is probably the biggest thing I can do by putting the reunion album into this list as a fan.

Colour Me Wednesday - Counting Pennies In The After Life, Dovetown Recordings / 2670 Records / KROD Records
Its been really great that the band that you adore and help about putting out a damn good records! I think this full length is a culmination of their work so far. Good melodies and much better song writing comparing to the first full length they had back years ago. Really hope that goodwill and fortunes will come to the band on the later years. I can tell you they love nightcake so much! (Please google up for 'Kue Putu' as the nightcake I mean for)

Knowhere - Pedestrian Life EP, Anxydad Records
Noel is totally one of favourite local kid cuz he suprised that he has a damn fine orgcore band named Knowhere and producing such a bad ass records. 'Pedestrian Life' is totally a perfect thing to start! Yes this records totally nail me out through months this year. If you can extract the core element of Knapsack that being mixed up with a more modern sound like Tiger Jaw aaannd boom there you go we have Knowhere down here!

Saturday Night Karaoke - Professional Goofballs, Anoa Records / Waterslide Records / Monster Zero Records
Well I dont give any fuck with you oppinions that I put out so much friends' records into my list. All I know that they are all being good friend and producing great records. THATS ALL THE MATTERS! lol. Been really proud of them cuz they finally produce the second full length which totally blast! You can say that the hype of Insub Fest is totally over now BUUTTT not here not in this such a far away place, Indonesia :)

Linger - Congratulations, You're Getting Old, Fall Year Records / Rizkan Records
Next stuff is the records that I also just put out. BUT! I promise you that this stuff has sold out in me so you cant blame me that this is a promotional shit haha! Linger is a solo project moniker by Dandy Gilang of Write The Future. I can tell that this one is a more indierock approach than Write The Future itself (And yet you know Write The Future is a more melodic hardcore thing). A perfect records if you like Weakerthans and Rossenstock at the same time!

Sharesprings - Paraparlor, Dismantled / Jigsaw Records
FINALLY Sharesprings put out a fucking full length this year! Thats all its all worth if you put out an attention fully for this just like me. 'Paraparlor' is total tweegaze blast! And no wonder why Mamet recalls this catalogue as 'End of The World'. I need no overated shoegaze shit than Sharesprings! I wish I'm good enough to cover their song. Well IN FACT I'M NOT!

Happy Accidents - Everything But Here And Now, Alcopop Records
Personally, Happy Accidents' second full length is a total monumental for me cuz I'm actually been a bit dissapointed for their first full length and yes I've been listening listening to the band's tunes since they put out their first EP. So yes I'm totally being proud and happy for them! And this year this band finally made up their Fest debut. Its another monumental moment for UK scene for being looked up for the world. Gonna use my pop punk mutant will so Colour Me Wednesday could showed up for the next year's Fest!

itoldyouiwouldeatyou - Oh Dearism, Alcopop Records / Failure By Design
Next one is a london based emo aband itoldyouiwouldeatyou. One of the weirdest band name I ever discovered and they sound totally gewd! And totally stoked knowing that this band just put out their first full length ever this year! Totally love this one and if you're into kind of This World Is A Beautiful Place And I'm No Longer Affraid To Die (Gosh! It takes 20 fucking seconds to type the band's name) or Arcade Fire on a more emoish version, this is a rad tunes you should listen to!

Irrevocable - Where Is Home, Self-Released
I would like to honourly mentioning Uniteasia for this one. Thanks Riz for being a 'bridge' for introducing me to the band! Irrevocable would probably next band I know since I only know Typecast YAY! They just put out a great full length this year and it sounds totally blast. If you love twinkle emo with a more paramore-ish sound, this is a great tune I would recomend to you!

Menagerie - J. Fox EP, Self-Released
Its totally fukked up that I miss to see The Hum Hums for live! Fukk man I'm so fukked up! I know its Maruko's band and listing this band is totally reminding about how fukked up I am to miss seeing Hum Hums live :( Menagerie, as I would say, is one of the 'Maruko's experience' you should not miss to listen to! This one is more pop-ish than Hum Hums. Who would not love to hear Maruko's song!

Summerman - Fan, Super Capsaicin
I would later someday than this year write something great about Summerman as they are great to me personally. And this full length is still being a proof about how good the bands can put out stuffs. Singalongable chorus, good melodies, and I'm dying to see them live!

Lemuria - Recreational Hate, Asian Man Records / Big Scary Monster / Turbo Worldwide
I cant put this full length on the last year's list sooo there you go! 'Recreational Hate' is one of the masterpiece that the band has ever put out, to me and much friends of mine. And I think everyone's aggree with that! The whole materials on this one is totally great! Well comparing to any of their previous works, I can say this full length is a culmination stuff! Its been great to see how band develops their own sound and thats why Lemuria is more than just a band to me :)

Iron Chic / Toys That Kill - Split LP, Dead Broke Rekerds /  Recess Records
Imagining when two of your favourite bands doing split and yes it happens to me when Iron Chic and Toys That Kill do this split! So, for certain, this one place on a favorite list this year! Iron Chic put out a great B-Side tracks from their last full length 'You Can't Stay Here' and I cant stop thinking whey they put out these stuffs into B-Side tracks, I mean the whole tracks sounds really good and anthemic. And I thought Toys That Kill is totally taking a break from recording new song or tour, but this split is like an 'Oasis' to me cuz unexpectedly can hear new song of the band! Give a hail to Deadbroke and Recess for this one!

Muncie Girls - Fixed Ideals, Specialist Subject / Waterslide Records / Mint Records
I cant stop being a happy man on this earth when Muncie Girls put out their second full length and suprisingly this full length seems cought everyone's attention. But actually this is no suprise cuz they put out a real damn good stuff on their second full length 'Fixed Ideals'. Their second full length as much as I would say has been a good 'correction' from their first full length. The band put out a much more anthemic song and more heart touching lyrics comparing the first full length!

Xingfoo & Roy - Late To The Party EP, Self-Released
Honestly, this EP I can say one their best work so far! Comparing to their full length, 'Late To The Party' appears to be an album that is well produced when it comes to a term of songwriting. This EP is more straight forward than their previous works which this makes me in love with the EP! And you know they put a 'Whistling' sound and it sounds lovely!

Secretary Legs - Cool Myths, Sniffling Indie Kids
Finally I put out one of New Jersey band on my list! YAY! Secretary Legs has totally suprised me out with their debut full length cuz I was like '------' that plain as listening to their previous EP. But boom when this full length comes out its like 'Hey they put out a lovely work!'. If you're being tired when everyone tries to tell you that Mom Jeans is a good band, Secretary Legs has just offered you a great indierock-Superchunkish tunes!

Ogikubo Station - We Can Pretend Like, Asian Man Records
I just cant deny myself that Mike Park has good band called Ogikubo Station, regardless he runs a label called Asian Man Records or he does really great with his band called Skankin Pickles or Bruce Lee Band or Chinkees, Ogikubo Station is still a great band. And he's not wrong for several times telling everyone to listen to Ogikubo's full length cuz it sounds really good and do love how positive the lyrics laid out on this album.

Aspiga - Dragged Through The Years, A-F Records
Seeing this comp is like 'Whoa! Finally there's a label aware that those tracks should compiled'. Yes its not a new tunes from the lovely Aspiga but Its a compilation of songs taken from their unreleased christmas songs and B-Side rarities that used to be on bandcamp. Yes I'm still looking forward to hear their new album!

Clown Sounds - Preacher Maker, Recess Records
Well if you guys expect for Toys That Kill do any stuff this in fact they dont, well dont worry Clown Sounds is the answer. I cant say that this is a more The Underground Railroad To Candyland or more Toys That Kill, but Clown Sounds does have 2 drummers and its a more straight forward comparing than TURC. But this is what Recess sounds like and none of us have any dislike lol.
