Album Review : Charmpit - Cause A Stir

Musician : Charmpit
Album : Cause A Stir
Date Release : April 3rd 2020
Publisher : Specialist Subject Records

Ur next review stuff coming from an asskickin London based indiepop/punk band, Charmpit. Yes and by this review first I would like to thank Jennifer Doveton of Colour Me Wednesday for recomending me this back in the days! Yes my first crush for the band was their first EP entitled 'Snorkel' and 'Vacation' is the reason why I love this band. And suprisingly this band went up high rocket since then, starting from being featured and cover band on Maximum Rock N Roll then got signed by Specialist Subject.
Of course when you saw one of your favorite band getting grow and got highlighted by everyone is one of the pride that you cant let go in your life. Its like 'Hey I listen to this band since they put out the first record' when you saw them got featured on one of the most notorious fanzine on earth or got signed with one of the one of the most favorite label ever existed on earth.
Though it takes a bit of time for this time to put out their first full length. As being posted, their previous stuff to be posted on the discography was a single 'Squirrel Away The Summer' on 2018. It takes 2 years indeed! But it is worth to wait then, cause later on this band put out a full length entitled 'Cause A Stir' on Specialist Subject. And yes I would like to say that Charmpit on this record is still be kicking as usual. What gets me in love for the band is that they put less reverb on their indiepop/punk tunes lol. Yes the reason why I found my love for UK wave indiepunk band is that they put less reverb on their vocal and a distinct songwriting if you make a comparisson with a US wave indiepunk. And this record has been an oasis for UK wave indiepunk sound which lesser of the bands producing any good record for these last two years, as in my radar goes for certain. And hey if any of you reading this review please recomend me some good UK sounded indiepunk record cause I think I got too much emo list arround these days lol!
This full length is available on vinyl and bundling package with postcards and magnet set. And it all is presented by Specialist Subject which I can say now the label has broaden their expansion as the label recruited bands has a different sound than they usually put out. The record is also available on many digital outlets like bandcamp, spotify, deezer, etc. And of course your support does really make great impact for the band on these screwed up times.
